Royal Bank Document Management Strategy

Goal:

Provide the ability to deliver standardized and up-to-date banking documents (such as mortgage agreement, credit applications, mutual fund prospectuses) just-in-time, ensuring that bank customers were receiving the correct versions of documents; thereby reducing the number of potential errors in agreements and the need for branches to maintain their own documents

Responsibilities:

  • Developed a document management strategy taking into account enterprise-wide needs
  • Conducted multiple workshops across the enterprise to gather current state process flows and specific requests for the future state
  • Elicited, validated, and prioritized business and functional requirements, forming the gap analysis on current technologies
  • Developed a scalable document management services model that is applicable in multiple industries
